Our members are made up mainly of professionals in their 40's, 50's and 60's many of whom have had previously successful careers and they are now exploring their future options. They are intellectually curious, open minded and ambitious for themselves.
We don't offer support to the long term unemployed navigating the benefits system: this service is provided by Job Centre Plus.

Meet Graham, who was a partner in a private equity business for 23 years, and is now a charity trustee + explorer of many paths. Hear about his journey from leaving his old career behind, feeling lost about his next career steps, joining Brave Starts, and discovering that the right jobs will find you when you're going in the right direction.
Meet Andrew, who had an illustrious career in International Development, working for Oxfam, UNICEF and Save the Children in several African countries. After joining Brave Starts, Andrew attended one of our workshops, which led him to explore the option of franchising. He is now running his own travel franchise!
Lisa was a solicitor for 25 years. She’s now a lecturer teaching students how the law works in practice. She’s loving the change in pace and flexibility of lifestyle.
Nick was at Microsoft for over 20 years then had a string of roles in technology organisations as Business Development/Commercial Director, always knowing it wasn’t quite right for him. Now he’s in leadership training and development in a small consultancy and loves it.
When we met Mike, he was already interested in longer lives and research. He was Head of Retirement research at Aegon but following a restructure was made redundant. Working with what he felt strongly about and nurturing his desire to stay in the field we helped make a few connections and now he's CEO of Pro Age.
