​The aim of this workshop is to give a general overview of the main routes to raising money and what investors look for.

• ​In this workshop Ian will go through the main avenues to raising investment: angels, grants, bootstrapping, finance/loans, crowdfunding, equity investment (venture capital).
• ​We’ll look at the main criteria investors look for when you think you’re ready to scale.
• ​We’ll work in groups to identify the best method (if any) for your own business.

​About Ian Tracey

​Ian is one of the best connected people we know in the Start Up world. He’s an intellectual powerhouse, having had a career that spanned working at CERN to leading Start Up incubators, to being Head of Access to Funding and Finance at the Knowledge Transfer Network (connected with Innovate UK). There isn’t much Ian doesn’t know about building a business, given he’s supported the path of so many.
