Last month we ran a poll. More than 250 people took part, universally agreeing recruitment for people over 50 is broken.

In this session, we invite you to come and share your ideas for what can be done to improve the experience for people over 50.

We are here yes to state the issues but, more importantly, we want this session to be about generating ideas and committing to help make a positive difference.

We’ll invite the panel to share why they feel recruitment for people as we get older is broken, and then we’ll break into discussion groups to try to brainstorm ideas for making changes.

About the Panel Members

Alexandra Sufit

Alex is on a mission to align profit with purpose. She advises companies on their social impact strategies. With proven expertise in delivering impact across both the private and public sector, Alex has led large-scale initiatives to address complex challenges.

At the Social Mobility Commission, she was part of the team that launched the seminal Employers Programme – partnering with British business and the third sector to tackle the ‘class pay gap’ and change the narrative around socio-economic diversity in the workplace.

Most recently she was head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at a FinTech, operating in 10+ territories and spanning 50+ nationalities. There she shaped a vision of fairness, as the company scaled rapidly before entering a turbulent phase of redundancies.

Alex believes there is a better way to do business, by embedding social value in growth and innovation. Part of this means unlocking the potential of age-inclusive workplaces.

Lisa worked in Japan and Canada, has traveled globally and is passionate about leading diverse global teams and nurturing talent.

Natasha works in partnership with Boards to support the hire of Executive Management roles, both interim and permanent.
