We always say at Brave Starts, you don't find your purpose: you build it.

It's hard to build a business from scratch and most people don't want to work alone. We've brought you 4 business directors who have established business models, customers and need help to grow. These are real opportunities (with your input) to earn a salary but you have to help be part of it. We believe you can build what you can't find - but don't take our word for it. Come and meet these amazing people. Be inspired by their work, build your network and maybe find your next role...

Meet the employers:

  • Katie Alcott, CEO @ Frank Water

Frank Water is two organisations that share a single vision: a global water system that can provide everyone, everywhere with access to enough, good-quality water to sustain their livelihoods, protect their health, and unlock their potential, which conserves the environment and, at the same time, maintains peace and political stability.

Katie Alcott is a pioneering social entrepreneur, CEO and founder of Frank Water.

After suffering dysentery in India, Katie pledged to make a difference to people worldwide who lack safe drinking water. Water underpins all forms of life. Access to water is a basic human need and right. Yet 2.2 billion people still lack access to safe drinking water, and 2.4 billion live in water-stressed countries.

To date, the social enterprise and charity that she founded in 2005 at the age of 25 reached more than 500,000 people, across 747 communities with long term access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education. Frank Water is working to alleviate global water poverty, enhance health, and protect the natural environment by improving the way that people understand and use water, with a focus on those most in need. Currently working in the UK, India, Nepal & Kenya.

  • Rod Bailey, Founder @ Executive Surf

ExecutiveSurf is a Next-generation, virtual, no-frills headhunting firm operating across the world.

Now in his fourth decade in global executive search, something has always bugged Rod: 'poach' a candidate from company A in order to place them in company B. Purely because B was paying a fee. After many misfires and even more setbacks and abject failures, Rod is at the helm of a BCorp, ExecutiveSurf; a virtual, no-frills, global executive search firm with Impact in its soul. He is currently building the Impact Recruitment model which places Values at its heart in order to get a better candidate fit = longer tenure = higher engagement levels = more discretional effort = happier employees and employers. Win win.
